THE CHALLENGE
For their onboarding training, an insurance client approached Actio to create an adaptable model that accomplished multiple goals. The training needed to support both experienced and inexperienced new hires and make it easier for existing employees to reach meaningful mid-career milestones. Additionally, the overall process should shorten employee time to performance while making the most of a limited budget.
THE Solution
Actio defined developmental stages and performance milestones for each role; this became the scaffolding for the training development process. We created four development maps to guide the unique journeys of existing employees and new hires. We also used a blended learning model that included multiple performance assessments designed to be used as examples during training, a multi-tiered performance assessment process, and a structured manager coaching playbook to support the widespread use of structured coaching.
