A client in the audit, tax, and advisory services industry aimed to redesign their outdated audit technology platform with several key goals: simplify tasks, enable the reallocation and balancing of work, and use technology to maintain or improve audit quality.
The client collaborated with a technology vendor and SMEs to develop the new platform, posing unique challenges for employee training. The client needed highly technical training content (e.g., audit concepts and regulatory requirements) for the upcoming launch and content that focused on desired “future state” processes of their proprietary system.
Actio Learning worked closely with the technology vendor and client SMEs during the Agile Development process to develop 8 hours of technical-skills eLearning. The eLearning included 16 performance-based practice scenarios and 16 “show-me” videos that walked the user through technology steps and tasks. We integrated the eLearning modules with classroom-based instruction to support new hires joining the firm. Bonus outcome: the training satisfied 8 Continued Professional Education (CPE) credits.
